Enerwise Achieves PJM Special Member Status
Kennett Square, PA — January 14, 2004 — Enerwise Global Technologies, Inc. has been certified as a PJM Special Member. The Special Member status allows Enerwise to act as a Curtailment Service Provider during PJM's Emergency Load Response Program. This status allows Enerwise to assist customers with PJM's curtailment initiatives that compensate end-use customers with reduced electrical rates for voluntary reductions of electrical load.
PJM is a regional transmission organization that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in all or parts of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Acting independently, PJM operates the world's largest competitive wholesale electricity market and ensures the reliability of the largest centrally dispatched control area in North America.
