Enerwise Global Technologies Appoints John P. Reese to Board of Directors
Appointment Reinforces Company's Focus on Demand Response Solutions for the New York and New England Regions
Kennett Square, PA — March 26, 2007 — Enerwise Global Technologies, a market leader in smart grid, demand response, clean energy and energy infrastructure management services with over 1700 megawatts of demand response and renewable energy capacity in the commercial, institutional and industrial markets, today announced the appointment of John P. Reese to its Board of Directors. Mr. Reese brings experience advising organizations in both the public and private sectors on matters of energy policy, wholesale electric markets, energy efficiency and renewable resources. Mr. Reese's expertise will be especially relevant as Enerwise sharpens its focus on demand response solutions for the New York and New England markets.
John Reese currently serves as vice president of government affairs for US Power Generating Company, LLC, where he is responsible for ongoing communications with city, state and federal officials and energy policy-making bodies on wholesale electric markets and electric regulatory policy issues. In this role, Mr. Reese provides key policy and strategic guidance to the company, and serves as a liaison to stakeholder and market organizations including the New York ISO, PJM and ISO New England. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Reese served as senior advisor to the New York Public Service Commission, where he advised the Chairman on electric and natural gas issues and as vice president of government affairs for Reliant/Orion Power Holdings, where he directed wholesale market, regulatory and government affairs. Earlier in his career, Mr. Reese served as deputy director of the Independent Power Producers of New York, senior technical advisor to the US Department of Energy and director of development and evaluation for the New York State Energy Office.
