Food Lion LLC Selects Enerwise Global Technologies For Enterprise Energy Management Across New Grocery Stores
Enerwise to be provider of choice for grocery chain focused on energy savings
Kennett Square, PA — September 16, 2002 — Enerwise Global Technologies, a leader in enterprise energy management, announced today that Food Lion LLC has expanded its existing agreement with Enerwise to include the implementation of advanced energy management products and services at twenty additional Food Lion stores, with the goal of further extending the relationship to include new stores slated for construction during 2003 and 2004. Enerwise's turnkey energy management solution for Food Lion includes Internet-based system monitoring, metering, and reporting; equipment supply, installation, and integration; and advanced energy analysis.

The Enerwise system collects, compares, and displays energy data from multiple stores. Energy analysts then evaluate the data and provide detailed reports, identifying peak usage and recommending measures for reduced energy consumption. As a result, Food Lion has the ammunition it needs to make informed decisions. Enerwise has completed energy management systems at twelve Food Lion stores, with eight other implementations currently in progress. The new contract calls for twenty additional sites, with the goal of expanding the relationship to include both new Food Lion stores and existing locations undergoing renovations.
